Trainer--Ross Enamait Fighting Style--Boxing, Specializes in S&C training--exhibits knowledge of many popular MMA leagues. Combat trainer.
Author of The Underground Guide to Warrior Training (ebook, out of print) Never Gymless (bodyweight protocols) Infinite Intensity (weightlifting protocols) Full Throttle Conditioning Book & DVD (conditioning protocols)
The best part about Ross is that most of the information is free. He has links to great nutritional sites. You will learn how to use homemade equipment. The books are loaded with nutritional and supplement info. The two sites are also packed with tons of great free info.
Ross proves you do not need a gym or a bowflex or any other foo foo bullshit to get into fighting shape. You just need intensity and balls. You have to want it and he'll get you there for next to free.
I recommend his books highly. The ebook is a great starting point that will help a lot, but really everything he says and shows is awesome. And much cheaper than any gym or videos or bullshit. I can assure you that it is time and money well spent. Actually, more time, because he really doesn't sell much, though he provides a shitload of free information and equipment alternatives.
He is a trainer that wants to train people, not make money. He is anti-money making foo foo fitness guru, magic fitness pill and magic training protocol. He is more of a time to bust your ass kind of guy. His protocols will fit into your current training program fine.
Bottom line--he is the real deal--a combat athlete/trainer that wants to help people succeed in a country full of fat fucks and weak asses. Check him out, I promise you it will be worth your time.
Fitness Benchmark--Right now, I want you to stop reading this shit and do 100 Burpees for time. 2-3 minutes is fit. I know some of you train, so it shouldn't be hard, right?
Try some of these routines--(see already you're getting hooked up with free shit)
Budget Training (all you need is a dumbbell, a med ball, a little homemade sled and a car)
Low Tech/Hi Effect Training
Sledgehammer Training
No place to go running? No problem--try Band Sprints (using a resistance band)
I'll post links to a good place or two to get a few bands. Very effective training method.
Increase your Work Capacity
The Home Gym
Hardcore Training
Triple Clap Pushups
Look around his gym. The most expensive thing there is the pull up tower, 120 bucks or so at Modells.
There are more vids on youtube and at his site. He covers a lot more, but this should get you started. I'm telling all of you, work this into your current training schedule, you will see huge benefits.
